Ncuti Gatwa surprises fans by revealing ‘Doctor Who’ Season 15’s release date, with the premiere set for April 12.

Scottish actor Rwandan-Scottish actor Ncuti GatwaNcuti Gatwa, best known for playing the Fifteenth Doctor in Doctor Who, just surprised everyone by revealing the release date for the upcoming fifteenth season of the series—and it’s sooner than you might think!

Gatwa took to Instagram to share two posters for the new season: one featuring him and the other featuring his co-star London, UNITED KINGDOM - British Vogue x Netflix BAFTA TV party, London, UK. Pictured: Varada SethuVarada Sethu, with both posters revealing the premiere date as April 12. “The stars align 💫,” Gatwa wrote in the caption.

Recently, rumors surfaced about Gatwa’s role in the series, as well as the future of Doctor Who in general. In response, the BBC denied the speculation, stating that the series “has not been shelved” and that they “never comment on the Doctor and future storylines.”

Most recently, Gatwa’s tenure as Algernon Moncrief in the stage adaptation of The Importance of Being Earnest ended, but he is staying busy filming the satirical black comedy The Roses alongside Benedict Cumberbatch, Olivia Colman, Kate McKinnon, and Andy Samberg.
