Ncuti Gatwa’s ‘Earnest’ hits cinemas Feb. 20. Catch his witty Algernon or see it live at the Lyttelton until Jan. 25.

If you weren’t lucky enough to catch Ncuti Gatwa in the National Theatre production of The Importance of Being Earnest, we have some great news for you! The production is headed for a cinema release, and we have a trailer for it.

The trailer begins with Gatwa showing off his piano skills, dressed in a pink dress, and giving a cheeky wink to the camera. A series of clips from the production is then revealed, showing Gatwa in all kinds of extravagant costumes.

In this production, Gatwa plays the charming, witty, and irreverent Algernon Moncrief, alongside Hugh Skinner as the earnest Jack Worthing. Besides Gatwa and Skinner, the production also features Ronkẹ Adékoluẹjo, Eliza Scanlen, and Sharon D. Clarke, among others.
