Mikey Madison Walks Away from Huge 'Star Wars' Opportunity

Oscar-winner Madison turns down a ‘Star Wars’ role as she carefully weighs her next move after ‘Anora’.
The American Oscar-winning actress Mikey Madison is being cautious about choosing her next movie after Anora. She was recently offered a role in an untitled Star Wars movie, but she turned it down, according to Variety.
The new Star Wars film, which has yet to receive an official title, will be directed by Shawn Levy, who most recently helmed Deadpool & Wolverine. The screenplay is being written by Jonathan Tropper, known for his work on the sci-fi comedy The Adam Project.
Since Madison’s Oscar win, rumors about her next film role have been swirling. One such rumor is that she’s being considered for a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which would mark her first appearance in a superhero film.
She was also reportedly offered a role in Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil reboot, but there has been no confirmation as to whether she accepted. In March, she made her Saturday Night Live debut, where she introduced her twin brother during her monologue.
What Madison’s next movie will be remains a mystery, but it’s clear she’s carefully considering her next steps. Stay tuned for more updates!
