Mikey Madison Eyes a Return to Horror with 'Resident Evil' Reboot

Oscar-winner Mikey Madison may join Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil reboot as the film returns to its horror roots.
The Oscar-winning actress Mikey Madison, known for her role in Anora, might return to horror films once again! According to World of Reel, she has been offered a role in Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil reboot.
With a screenplay by Cregger and Shay Hatten, the film is expected to return to the original video game’s horror roots. Cregger, a huge fan of the franchise, plans to do it justice through his vision. Plot details remain under wraps.
Besides Madison, Euphoria actor Austin Abrams is rumored to star in the movie, which could mark his second collaboration with Cregger. Filming is expected to begin this fall, with a release date set for September 18, 2026.
Madison was also recently rumored to be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She will make her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live on March 29, alongside Jack Black and
Jon Hamm, with musical performances by
Morgan Wallen,
Elton John,
Brandi Carlile, and
Lizzo.
