Phoebe Dynevor’s upcoming spy thriller Inheritance is here with a first trailer, along with a release date confirmed for January 24, 2025!
In the film, Dynevor plays Maya, a young woman who stumbles upon her dad’s secret spy life and begins chasing down an international conspiracy. She must take up the family business and master her skills—or risk ending up dead. Maya’s journey takes her around the world, from New York City to Delhi, Seoul, and Cairo.
The movie is directed by Neil Burger, known for Divergent, Limitless, and The Illusionist. Dynevor stars alongside Rhys Ifans, who plays her father, Sam, and they are joined by
Ciara Baxendale,
Kersti Bryan, and
Byron Clohessy, among others.
The movie had been in development for some time, but in September, IFC Films acquired the rights, confirming that the project would see the light of day.
Dynevor is best known for her role in the series Bridgerton, but she’s been steadily making a name for herself. She made her American TV debut in 2016 on Snatch with Luke Pasqualino and
Rupert Grint, and her film debut in 2021’s The Color Room alongside
Matthew Goode.
Recently, Dynevor kicked off filming for Famous with Zac Efron. Prior to that, she worked on the thriller Anniversary with
Diane Lane and
Kyle Chandler, as well as the sci-fi film Beneath the Storm with
Whitney Peak and
Djimon Hounsou.
Additionally, she joined the psychological thriller Wichita Libra and was cast as Daphne Du Maurier in The Housekeeper, alongside Anthony Hopkins and
Uma Thurman.
Inheritance arrives in cinemas on January 24, 2025, so don’t forget to get your tickets!
