All Eyes on Phoebe Dynevor as 'Famous' Begins Filming in Los Angeles
Phoebe Dynevor and Zac Efron turn heads in a glamorous first look at ‘Famous’, a thriller based on Blake Crouch’s novel!
The Bridgerton actress Phoebe Dynevor and Zac Efron were seen in Los Angeles for the first time filming scenes for their upcoming thriller Famous!
Famous is a thriller based on a 2010 novel of the same name by Blake Crouch, who also wrote The Wayward Pines Trilogy and Dark Matter. The movie follows Lance Dunkquist, a man who so closely resembles movie star James Jansen that people constantly mistake him for Jansen. Determined to make it big, Dunkquist is willing to achieve his goals by any means necessary.
In the film, Efron plays a dual role, portraying both Dunkquist and Jansen. Alongside Efron and Dynevor, the movie also features Nicholas Braun, Stephanie Koenig, Debby Ryan, Mekki Leeper, and Cory Michael Smith.
Dynevor joined the project in September. Prior to this, she had been busy working on the thriller Anniversary with Diane Lane and Kyle Chandler, as well as the sci-fi film Beneath the Storm with Whitney Peak and Djimon Hounsou.
Recently, she also joined the spy thriller Inheritance alongside Rhys Ifans, and the psychological thriller Wichita Libra. Last month, she was cast as Daphne Du Maurier in The Housekeeper alongside Anthony Hopkins and Uma Thurman.
Efron, meanwhile, had two films released this year: the comedy Ricky Stanicky with Jermaine Fowler and A Family Affair with Nicole Kidman. In August, to the shock of many, Efron had to be rushed to the hospital after being found unconscious in a swimming pool in Ibiza. After clearing water from his lungs, he was discharged the following day.
Filming for Famous began on October 30 in Atlanta, Georgia, and is expected to wrap on December 17. If all goes smoothly, the movie could be released by the end of 2025.
