Qing Madi Drops Her Debut Album ‘I Am the Blueprint’ – Stream it Now!

Before her debut album, Nigerian artist Qing Madi gained recognition with her self-titled 2023 EP, which featured hits like American Love and Ole, a collaboration with Afropop star Bnxn.

I Am the Blueprint leans into slow- to midtempo production, blending her soulful soprano with lyrics centered on romantic introspection.

Born Chimamanda Pearl Chukwuma in Benin City, Nigeria, Madi grew up immersed in American R&B and Kendrick Lamar’s lyricism.

Her influences later expanded to include Haitian konpa, French pop, and Afropop, but early exposure to R&B shaped her music.

She recalls, “There was a bar near our house that played old-school and contemporary R&B late into the night, and that became my first music education.”

With over 2 million monthly listeners on Spotufy, the 18 year-old singer is taking over the global music steadily.
