Loyle Carner Returns With Two New Singles, Glastonbury Slot, and Acting Debut

Alongside new tracks ‘All I Need’ and ‘In My Mind,’ Carner will headline Glastonbury’s Other Stage and make his acting debut in the BBC series ‘Mint.’
Loyle Carner is officially back, releasing two new singles—all i need and in my mind—via Island EMI on April 9, 2025, his first studio releases since the Mercury Prize-nominated 2022 album hugo.
Carner explores fresh sonic territory, blending his poetic rap with alt-rock influences from indie bands like Big Thief, Idles, and Fontaines D.C., which he directly referenced in his announcement. The introspective track in my mind notably features Carner stepping outside his comfort zone and was recorded with his son present, emphasizing its personal themes.
Both singles were created alongside Carner’s live band, formed during his 2024 hugo tour, fulfilling a long-held personal ambition. That tour wrapped up at London’s 35,000-capacity All Points East festival in August 2024.
Carner’s busy 2025 includes headlining Glastonbury’s Other Stage on June 27, joining acts like Charli XCX and The Prodigy across the weekend. He’s also branching into acting, debuting in the BBC’s darkly comic crime drama Mint, an eight-part series currently filming in Glasgow, where he portrays Arran alongside
Emma Laird.
Carner’s multidimensional career boasts over 1.1 billion streams, sold-out venues including Wembley Arena, an honorary doctorate from the University of the Arts London, and ongoing advocacy through his Chilli Con Carner workshops supporting youth with dyslexia and ADHD.
