Listen to Aminé’s New Track 'Arc de Triomphe' from Upcoming Album

After previewing Arc de Triomphe on On the Radar, Aminé has officially released the track alongside news of his next album.
Portland rapper Aminé officially dropped his new single Arc de Triomphe on streaming platforms Wednesday, April 9, 2025, bringing fresh energy ahead of his upcoming album 13 Months of Sunshine, set for release on May 16 via 10K Projects. Produced by Norwegian beatmaker Lido, the track cleverly samples Has It Come to This? by UK garage-rap legends The Streets, with Aminé delivering a memorable hook: “I need a b— that’s bad with a arch in her back like the Arc de Triomphe.”
Following his lead single Familiar (co-produced by Buddy Ross, Jim-E Stack, Loukeman, and Pasqué), this second release confirms Aminé’s continued exploration of the dance-oriented production he first ventured into with his 2021 mixtape TWOPOINTFIVE and further developed in his 2023 collaborative album with Kaytranada. Recently previewed during an appearance on On the Radar complete with backup dancers, the upbeat track arrives just in time for summer playlists.
13 Months of Sunshine will be Aminé’s first solo album in five years, following 2020’s Limbo. The album title draws inspiration from a 1960s–70s Ethiopian tourism slogan referencing the country’s traditional Geʽez calendar, which contains 13 months instead of 12. This connection to his Ethiopian heritage is further emphasized by the album’s promotional materials, which Aminé has shared in both English and Amharic on social media, along with creating a dedicated Instagram page documenting the album’s three-year creation process.
Beyond music, Aminé has stayed busy designing multiple pairs of sneakers with New Balance and launching his inaugural hometown festival The Best Day Ever in Portland in 2024. Fans are now eagerly awaiting news about the festival’s 2025 edition, with the official Instagram page promising updates soon.
