Max McNown’s ‘Night Diving (The Cost of Growing Up)’ deluxe edition just dropped, adding 11 new tracks and expanding the album’s emotional depth. Here’s what’s new and where to hear it live.
Max McNown’s Night Diving (The Cost of Growing Up) deluxe edition arrived July 18, expanding his 2025 sophomore album with 11 extra tracks and new collaborations.
The expanded set, released through Fugitive Recordings, The Orchard, and Columbia Records, features fresh material like Forever Ain’t Long Enough and a new version of Night Diving with Cameron Whitcomb, offering fans even more from his folk-country-pop sound. The deluxe release deepens themes of grief, healing, and self-discovery, with standout tracks such as The Cost of Growing Up and the charting Better Me For You (Brown Eyes).
Ahead of the release, McNown previewed the project with This Side Of Heaven and confirmed festival slots at Lollapalooza and CMA Fest, plus a North American tour launching August 21 in Kansas City. The album’s new 21-song structure is meant to reflect the full scope of music McNown wrote during this era, building on the momentum from his breakout hits and viral presence.
