Connor Swindells Returns to the Small Screen in 'The Dream Lands'

Connor Swindells joins ‘The Dream Lands’, a gripping BBC drama set in 2039, exploring love, survival, and a dark conspiracy.
English actor and model Connor Swindells, known for his roles in Sex Education and SAS: Rogue Heroes, is set to star in another TV series. This time, he’s joining the cast of The Dream Lands, a six-part drama miniseries based on Rosa Rankin-Gee’s book Dreamland.
The BBC announced that he’s joining Pascale Kann,
Anna Friel,
Clara Rugaard,
Katherine Parkinson, and
Golda Rosheuvel. BAFTA winner Kayleigh Llewellyn has been hired to write the screenplay.
Set in Margate, England, in 2039, The Dream Lands follows 17-year-old Chance, played by Kann, who fights for her survival in a world collapsing due to climate change and political unrest. When she falls for Franky (Rugaard), a girl with ties to the establishment, she uncovers a dangerous conspiracy behind a government “rejuvenation scheme,” forcing her community to fight back.
Most recently, Swindells joined Keanu Reeves in the upcoming black comedy The Entertainment System Is Down. He is also currently busy filming the British drama series Lockerbie with Merritt Wever and
Patrick J. Adams, about the deadliest terrorist attack in the UK, the 1988 disaster of Pan Am Flight 103. He will also star in the upcoming Christmas rom-com Jingle Bell Heist with
Olivia Holt.
