Combster's LFW Designer Spotlight: Dilara Findikoglu

In 2016, she launched her namesake label, which quickly garnered attention for its incorporation of feminist, religious, and political themes alongside traditional Turkish techniques.
Dilara Findikoglu, a Turkish-English fashion designer, has emerged as one of London’s most exciting talents, known for her bold and eclectic designs that fuse punk, goth, and rock-and-roll iconography with feminist and Victorian themes.
Her journey began at Central Saint Martins, where her rebellious spirit was evident after she organized a guerrilla fashion show, Encore CSM, when she was rejected from the school’s press show. This act of defiance set the tone for her career, which has been marked by a commitment to challenging conventions both in design and advocacy.
Her striking designs have been also worn by some of A-star celebrities like Madonna,
Bella Hadid,
Lady Gaga,
Kim Kardashian,
Sabrina Carpenter, or
Margot Robbie.
Margot even showcased Findikoglu’s creations during the Barbie press tour in 2023.
The designer gained valuable experience working with notable fashion names such as Mary Katrantzou and
Jeremy Scott, and interning at Maison Margiela under
John Galliano, who she considers a mentor.
