Austin Butler and Jeremy Allen White Will Face Off in A24 Thriller 'Enemies'

Austin Butler and Jeremy Allen White are set to face off in A24’s upcoming spy thriller ‘Enemies’, filming this June in Chicago.
American actor Austin Butler is in talks to join A24’s new spy thriller Enemies, alongside The Bear star
Jeremy Allen White. According to Reel Chicago, the film is a spy thriller set in Chicago.
Described as a “spy vs. spy” thriller, the film is expected to begin filming in June this year. Production will last 30 days and has a budget of $25 million.
Last year, Butler wrapped filming on Darren Aronofsky’s crime thriller Caught Stealing, in which he stars alongside Zoë Kravitz,
Regina King,
Matt Smith,
Liev Schreiber, and others. The film is expected to be released on August 29, 2025.
He will also star in Ari Aster’s upcoming Western black comedy Eddington, with Joaquin Phoenix,
Pedro Pascal,
Emma Stone, and
Luke Grimes. Filming for Eddington wrapped in May 2024, and it is expected to be released sometime in 2025.
White is currently filming the fourth season of The Bear, and he has two other films lined up. This year, he will star as Bruce Springsteen in Deliver Me from Nowhere, alongside
Odessa Young. In 2026, he will voice Rotta the Hutt in The Mandalorian & Grogu.
