First Look at Jeremy Allen White and Odessa Young in Bruce Springsteen Biopic 'Deliver Me From Nowhere'
New set photos show Jeremy Allen White and Odessa Young sharing a kiss in the upcoming Bruce Springsteen biopic ‘Deliver Me from Nowhere’.
The Bear actor Jeremy Allen White and The Order actress Odessa Young have been spotted filming their upcoming Bruce Springsteen biopic, Deliver Me from Nowhere!
In the film, White stars as a younger version of Springsteen, while Young plays Faye, his love interest. In one of the photos, they can be seen sharing a kiss, while in another, they are caring for a young girl, played by an unknown child actress. Nearby stands a beautiful 1980s Chevy Camaro, reflecting the era in which the film is set.
Deliver Me from Nowhere follows Bruce Springsteen during a pivotal moment in his career, when he was creating his sixth studio album and most personal project up to that point, Nebraska. Springsteen recorded the album on a four-track cassette in his New Jersey home, marking it as one of the first DIY records made by an artist of his scale, and a breakthrough in home recording.
In addition to White and Young, the movie features Jeremy Strong as Springsteen’s manager Jon Landau, Paul Walter Hauser as Springsteen’s recording engineer Mike Baltan, Stephen Graham as Springsteen’s father, Gaby Hoffmann as Springsteen’s mother, and Johnny Cannizzaro as Steven Van Zandt, among others.
Filming began last month and is taking place in New Jersey and New York, with additional scenes in Los Angeles. Earlier this month, “The Boss” himself visited the New Jersey set, where he met White, greeted him with a hug, and signed autographs for fans.
The film is written and directed by Scott Cooper, known for movies such as The Pale Blue Eye, Black Mass, and Hostiles. He based the script on Warren Zanes’ 2023 book of the same name. The title Deliver Me from Nowhere is inspired by Springsteen’s track State Trooper from the Nebraska album.
White is also preparing for the fourth season of The Bear, set to begin filming in 2025. His portrayal of Carmy has earned him two consecutive Primetime Emmy Awards, along with several other prestigious accolades.
Young recently appeared in the trailer for her upcoming movie The Damned, co-starring Joe Cole and Lewis Gribben. She is also set to appear in The Order, a historical thriller featuring Jude Law and Nicholas Hoult, which premieres on December 6th.
