Aimee Lou Wood’s 'Film Club' Cast Revealed and Fans Can’t Wait
Aimee Lou Wood stars in and co-writes ‘Film Club’, a BBC rom-com series about love, movies, and missed chances, airing next year.
The Sex Education actress Aimee Lou Wood is adding more talent to her upcoming rom-com drama Film Club! THR reports that Nabhaan Rizwan and Suranne Jones are the latest additions to the cast.
Rizwan and Jones join Liv Hill, Adam Long, Ralph Davis, and, of course, Wood herself, who is co-writing the script with Davis. Filming began in Manchester, and the series is set to air next year on BBC.
The story follows Evie (Wood), a movie enthusiast harboring unspoken feelings for a fellow film lover, Noa (Rizwan). Their relationship faces a challenge when Noa decides to move away for work, forcing Evie to either confess her feelings or risk losing him forever.
But the attraction is mutual—Noa has feelings for her too, yet they’re both too shy to admit it. This journey may finally give them the answers they seek.
Suranne Jones is set to play Evie’s single mom, Suz, while Liv Hill plays her sister, Izzie, and Adam Long takes on the role of her boyfriend, Josh. Ralph Davis will portray Dominic, a new member of the Film Club that Evie and Noa host.
Aimee Lou Wood has had a busy year: her comedy Seize Them! with Nicola Coughlan was recently released, and she’s wrapped filming on Sweet Dreams. On TV, Wood appeared as Maya in Alice & Jack and as Gemma in Daddy Issues, which was recently renewed for a second season. She’s also currently working on the miniseries Toxic Town!
