Aimee Lou Wood in Tears Following Controversial 'SNL' Sketch

English actress Aimee Lou Wood isn’t catching a break after being mocked on the latest episode of Saturday Night Live, where her teeth and accent were exaggerated in a way the actress called “mean.”

The White Lotus star was recently spotted crying on the streets of London, comforted and hugged by her Film Club co-writer Ralph Davis—just a day after she slammed SNL for making fun of her.

It all started with a sketch titled White Potus, a parody of The White Lotus reimagined with political figures. In the sketch, Sarah Sherman played a character resembling Aimee Lou Wood’s Chelsea, using prosthetic teeth and mimicking her British accent.

In response, Wood took to social media to call the sketch “mean and unfunny,” saying she was the only one mocked in a mean-spirited way. Many fans rallied to her defense, saying the joke was in poor taste.

On the other hand, Wood’s White Lotus co-star Walton Goggins praised the sketch, calling it “Amazzzinggg” and “smashing” on his social media. This only fueled fan theories that the two actors—who played a couple on the show—are feuding in real life, especially since they’ve reportedly unfollowed each other on social media.
