Fader Magazine found out that Yeat apparently gets his music ideas in his sleep. With his MacBook right by his side, he wakes up and immediately starts jotting down the beats from his dreams. Then, at 4 a.m., he FaceTimes his manager to play the rough draft.
Another interesting fact about Yeat is that he always works alone, even for collaborations. Once, he recorded a demo with Childish Gambino and then went home to continue working on the track instead of staying in the studio.
