Why 'Cobra Kai' Season 6 Is Split Into 3 Parts
Cobra Kai fans, get ready for an epic final season split into three parts, with a deep dive into Mr. Miyagi’s past!
The creators of Cobra Kai recently revealed why the sixth and final season will be released in three parts, starting July 18. In a conversation with io9, Jon Hurwitz, Josh Heald, and Hayden Schlossberg explained that after completing season five, they realized that ten episodes weren’t enough to wrap up the series, but twenty felt excessive. They settled on fifteen episodes, releasing in three batches: July 2024, November 2024, and 2025.
Fans are in for a treat as this season will delve into Mr. Miyagi’s past, adding depth to his legendary character. Additionally, the show introduces its first-ever world karate tournament, the Saikai Taikai, promising thrilling new challenges for the characters.
The creators are elated with their journey and the storytelling achievements, ensuring some storylines conclude neatly while others intentionally leave room for future possibilities. Stay tuned for more updates on the final chapter of Cobra Kai!
