Sophie Skelton Surprises 'Outlander' Fans with Final Season Filming Finished
Sophie Skelton, Brianna Fraser in ‘Outlander,’ wraps filming the final season as fans eagerly await its anticipated finale.
English actress Sophie Skelton, best known for her role as Brianna Fraser in the drama series Outlander, has great news for us! Her work on the show’s final season is finally done, as it was recently announced that she has just wrapped filming.
In the most recently aired episodes, Brianna and Roger have settled in 1980s Scotland, creating a new life for themselves and their children. She finds a decent job, but just as things start to go well, their son goes missing, seemingly kidnapped by Rob Cameron. Roger and Buck Mackenzie set off through the stones in pursuit, leaving Brianna behind, hoping her family will be whole once again.
As the series approaches its conclusion, uncertainty looms. Will Brianna remain in the past or return to her own time? Can she ensure a safe future for her children, or will danger and difficult choices test her resolve once again?
Sophie Skelton has been slowly making a name for herself in the industry. Her last film was the British horror production Stalker, featuring Bret Hart, in 2022; and in 2023, she lent her voice to Julia Belmont in the animated series Castlevania: Nocturne. Her most famous role, however, remains Outlander, where she’s been playing Brianna Fraser since 2016. The show earned her three Saturn Award nominations.
While Season 7 has not yet been fully released, it’s nice to have something to look forward to after ot ends. The episodes of Season 7 will air until January 17, 2025, and that’s when the long wait for Season 8 begins. With no release date confirmed, all we can do is hope it will arrive as soon as possible.
