Sasha Calle Officially Wraps 'RIP' and Shares a Behind-the-Scenes Look
Sasha Calle wraps filming on Joe Carnahan’s upcoming crime thriller ‘RIP’, starring Matt Damon & Ben Affleck.
It’s a wrap for Sasha Calle’s work on the upcoming thriller RIP! The American actress took to Instagram to share the news, posting a photo of her chair—emblazoned with RIP—along with a caption thanking everyone involved and tagging a few of her co-stars.
RIP follows a group of cops who stumble upon millions in cash. When this information leaks outside their circle, it breeds distrust and paranoia among them.
Leading the cast are Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, with Calle, Teyana Taylor, Néstor Carbonell, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Kyle Chandler, Scott Adkins, and Lina Esco in supporting roles. The film is directed by Joe Carnahan, known for Copshop, Boss Level, and Bad Boys for Life. Carnahan both wrote and directed the film.
Filming began on October 3 in Los Angeles and is slated to wrap on December 11. Whether that remains the final wrap date is unknown, but it’s clear that Calle’s work on the project has concluded.
After making her debut as Supergirl in The Flash, Calle starred as Eva in the award-winning biopic drama In the Summers. She also portrayed Sandra in the drama On Swift Horses, which was screened exclusively at this year’s TIFF.
Currently, Calle has three films lined up for release: RIP, followed by the neo-noir thriller Lips Like Sugar—co-starring Juliette Lewis, Kathryn Newton, Erin Moriarty, Woody Harrelson, and Owen Wilson—and finally the thriller Wardriver with Dane DeHaan and Mamoudou Athie.
RIP is shaping up to be a promising addition to Calle’s growing career. With Damon and Affleck, the star power is undeniable, and given the quality of Joe Carnahan’s recent works, we’re in for a treat!
