Lauren Alaina Reveals Pregnancy in ‘Those Kind of Women’
Lauren Alaina, 30, and her husband, Cam Arnold, are expecting their first child.
Lauren shared the news through her new music video for Those Kind of Women, where she softly cradles her baby bump. The video’s storyline, following a mother raising her daughter, reflects Alaina’s own upcoming journey. Its lyrics pay tribute to strong women, with lines like “I was raised by those kind of women / Rocked to sleep on Dolly and Dylan.”
Alaina told People of her pregnancy:
“I didn’t know I can love something that I haven’t even really held yet. I feel the baby inside me, and it’s kicking me and doing all of the things. It’s like I was the Grinch or something, and my heart grew.”
She added that Arnold’s nurturing side — especially his care for animals — shows he’ll be a devoted father.
Following the release, Alaina will join fellow American Idol-alum Kelly Clarkson tomorrow on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Engaged in 2022 and married in late 2023, the couple now embarks on parenthood. Alaina, a former American Idol runner-up, has built a strong country music career, earning accolades like ACM’s New Female Artist of the Year (2018) and multiple CMT Music Awards. Along with Those Kind of Women, she dropped the Unlocked EP in 2023, featuring collaborations with Lainey Wilson and Devin Dawson.
