Samara Weaving stars in ‘Borderline’, a comedy-thriller about a pop star stalked by an obsessed fan. Premiering March 14, 2025!
Samara Weaving’s upcoming comedy-thriller Borderline is exactly one month away from being released, and now a trailer for the film has been released, teasing the craziness we’re about to see on the silver screen.
Borderline follows Sofia, a pop star played by Weaving, whose house is invaded by an obsessive fan, played by Ray Nicholson, who believes the two are getting married. The fan, Duerson, then does everything he can to manipulate everyone and create the perfect wedding atmosphere.
Besides Weaving and Nicholson, the movie features Eric Dane as Bell,
Alba Baptista as Penny, and
Jimmie Fails as Rhodes. The film marks the directorial debut of Jimmy Warden, who also wrote the script. Warden previously wrote the screenplay for the 2023 comedy-horror Cocaine Bear.
Recently, Weaving starred as the titular character in the 2024 horror film Azrael and lent her voice to Batty in the animated comedy 200% Wolf. She will also star in the heist thriller Eenie Meanie alongside Karl Glusman. The film wrapped filming in June last year but does not yet have a release date.
Currently, she’s busy filming the romantic crime thriller Carolina Caroline with Kyle Gallner and the psychological thriller The Trip with
Jason Segel.
Borderline premieres on March 14, 2025.
