Peggy Gou Teams with Don Julio for Special 1942 Tequila Release

The limited-edition release features a hand-drawn box, a personal message, and a bottle design meant to “stop you in your tracks.”
Peggy Gou has teamed up with Tequila Don Julio for a limited-edition bottle of its premium 1942 tequila, titled Don Julio 194구. The name swaps out the “2” for the Korean character “구,” a nod to Peggy’s last name. The DJ personally designed the bottle, using a mint green and purple color scheme with a chrome topper and gradient details.

The packaging includes a custom gift box and a handwritten note from Peggy. This is Don Julio 1942’s first global artist collab, and it comes with a digital campaign directed by Nabil Elderkin (known for working with Kendrick Lamar and
Frank Ocean).
The ad features Peggy walking a hazy runway to her 2019 track Starry Night. She called the design “a balance between minimal and extra,” aiming to create something that instantly grabs attention. The limited-edition release is now available in select markets.
