Mikey Madison is truly a rising gem in the movie industry, particularly with her latest role in Anora by Sean Baker. Her recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

A new interview with Jimmy Fallon reveals a shocking story about Mikey Madison’s boat ride around the Statue of Liberty.

The actress decided to take her Anora crew members on a pleasant boat ride to see the Statue of Liberty. Things took an unexpected turn when the captain pulled out a bottle of orange juice mixed with sake and asked Mikey to steer the boat, as he was too drunk to perform his duties. Fortunately, she managed to get her fellow actors to the island safely.

Surprisingly, we don’t know much about Mikey’s personal life, aside from her appearances on shows and occasional interviews.

It was a natural inclination to jump on social media and look for Mikey Madison’s active profiles after the actress was nominated for Best Female Role at the Golden Globes and received her most recent recognition for Outstanding Performance at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

However, the actress takes a strong stance on avoiding all social media, saying, “It’s just not for me.”. She adds, “I aspire to a calmer, slower life.”

It is somewhat bizarre to see such a successful talent not utilizing social media for promotional reasons, but the actress made it clear that she prefers to focus on the real world. Perfecting her work in acting is far more important than senseless “likes” and “shares.”

Ironically, with zero followers on social media, she managed to gain a large following in real life for her outstanding performance in Anora.

When talking about her preparation for the role at Jimmy Kimmel Live, she mentioned that she had to ask her dad to install a stripper pole to prepare for the dancing scene in the film. Her parents were confused at first, but supported the actress all the way through.

Mikey also had to learn a great deal of Russian to convey an authentic portrayal of her character, whose parents in the story are Russian natives. She also practiced her Brooklyn accent by walking around the district, visiting clubs and cafes to talk to locals.

When asked about her previous roles, Mikey points out that working with Quentin Tarantino in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was a pivotal moment in her career, portraying the infamous Susan “Sadie” Atkins of Charles Manson’s “Family.”

Growing up in a family of psychologists in the San Fernando Valley, Mikey was homeschooled and actually pursued competitive horse-riding before falling in love with cinema.

It feels like there is so much more to learn about this rising star, and we can’t wait to see her new roles grace international movie screens.
