American actress and singer Mckenna Grace just landed a role in another big project! This time, she’s joining the Green Day-inspired comedy New Year’s Rev, directed by Lee Kirk. And she’s super happy about it, as she calls herself the “biggest Green Day fan.”
Variety reports that she’s joining Fred Armisen,
Bobby Lee, and
Sean Gunn for a coming-of-age comedy about a group of friends who travel to Los Angeles, believing they will be opening for Green Day on New Year’s Eve—only to realize they were wrong.
The film is inspired by Green Day’s early days of living in a tour van. In addition to being filled with Green Day’s music, the film will also feature a live performance by the band.
Also joining the cast are Mason Thames, Kylr Coffman, Ryan Foust,
Jenna Fischer,
Angela Kinsey, and
Keen Ruffalo.
Grace has a packed schedule ahead—she is set to appear in the thriller Anniversary, the satirical drama Slanted, the action thriller Nobody 2, and the highly anticipated Scream 7, premiering on February 27, 2026.
