Lukas Gage Lands Lead Role in the New 'Prison Break' Series Set in the Same Universe

Lukas Gage joins the new Prison Break series with Emily Browning and Drake Rodger. The reboot enters pilot production.

American actor Lukas Gage, known for his roles in Smile 2, You, and The White Lotus, has joined a new TV project—he will star in the upcoming Prison Break series alongside Emily Browning and Drake Rodger arrives at the Los Angeles Premiere Of Paramount+'s Original Series 'Landman' Season 1 held at the Paramount Theatre at Paramount Pictures Studios on November 12, 2024 in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, United States.Drake Rodger.

The new series comes from filmmaker Elgin James, who previously worked on Mayans M.C. and The Outlaws. Deadline reports that the series went into development in 2023 and was just recently picked up for a pilot.

The show is set in the same universe as the original Prison Break, but without its original protagonists. Not much is known about the plot, aside from the main characters’ names and backgrounds.

Gage is set to play a politician named Jackson, while Browning will portray Cassidy Colling, an ex-soldier working at one of America’s deadliest prisons. Rodger will play Tommy, an inmate incarcerated at the same prison.

Most recently, Gage appeared in the sci-fi thriller Companion alongside Jack Quaid and Sophie Thatcher, and he is set to star in the upcoming drama thriller Rosebush Pruning with Riley Keough and Callum Turner. He is also currently filming the rom-com Love Language with Chloë Grace Moretz and American actor and singer Anthony RamosAnthony Ramos.
