Kathryn Newton Boards 'Just One Day' Series as Star and Producer

Kathryn Newton will star in and produce ‘Just One Day’, a series adaptation of Gayle Forman’s bestselling novel.
American actress Kathryn Newton just landed another project! The Lisa Frankenstein and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star has been announced as the producer and lead of Just One Day, a series based on Gayle Forman’s romance novel as reported by Deadline.
The Just One Day novel follows Allyson, a cautious American teen who impulsively spends a magical day in Paris with Willem, a carefree Dutch actor. When he vanishes the next morning, she’s left reeling—and sets off on a journey to find him, and ultimately, to find herself.
Just One Day is the first novel in Gayle Forman’s Just One series, followed by Just One Year, which is told from Willem’s perspective, and Just One Night, which reunites Allyson and Willem after their journey of self-discovery.
Most recently, Newton appeared in episodes of Hacks and Doctor Odyssey, and she will star in the psychological thriller DreamQuil alongside John C. Reilly and
Elizabeth Banks. In March, she joined Samara Weaving for a sequel to the 2019 horror-comedy Ready or Not.
