LaKeith Stanfield and Boots Riley Team Up Again for 'I Love Boosters'

LaKeith Stanfield joins Boots Riley’s second film ‘I Love Boosters,’ reuniting after ‘Sorry to Bother You.’
LaKeith Stanfield just landed a role in another project! He joins the cast of I Love Boosters, the second movie by
Boots Riley. Besides Stanfield, the film features actors
Keke Palmer,
Naomi Ackie, and
Demi Moore, Deadline reports.
I Love Boosters follows a group of shoplifters who target a cutthroat fashion maven. Just as it’s Riley’s second film, it’s also his second collaboration with LaKeith Stanfield, who had the lead role in his first movie, the 2018 sci-fi black comedy Sorry to Bother You, co-starring Tessa Thompson,
Jermaine Fowler, and
Omari Hardwick.
Stanfield has kept a low profile this year, with his only work being voice work on a documentary about Ernest Cole. However, it’s not like he hasn’t been busy! In addition to I Love Boosters, his film Play Dirty with Mark Wahlberg just went into post-production, and he’s currently filming Lear Rex, based on Shakespeare’s King Lear, and Die, My Love, a dark comedy horror film with
Jennifer Lawrence and
Robert Pattinson.
Given that Sorry to Bother You was a critical success and overall an amazing movie, it’s safe to say I Love Boosters will be worth checking out, don’t you think?
