Written off her ‘Whirlwind’ album but not forgotten, ‘Bell Bottoms Up’ debuts globally.

Lainey Wilson has finally released Bell Bottoms Up, a song fans have been waiting for since she started performing it on tour. The track was left off the tracklist of her 2024 album Whirlwind, but it’s now available to stream worldwide.

The song is an upbeat, fun anthem with lyrics like, “I’m filling up these jeans, like I do my cup / Throw it back, throw it down / Bell bottoms up.” It’s a nod to Wilson’s signature bell-bottom jeans, which gained attention after her 2022 album Bell Bottom Country. The title also shares its name with her Nashville bar, Bell Bottoms Up, which opened in May 2024. The bar is located off Broadway and features live music stages, multiple bars, and a rooftop lounge.

It’s not clear if Bell Bottoms Up will be part of a deluxe edition of Whirlwind or if it’s a standalone release. Either way, fans are happy to finally have the song available to stream as Wilson continues working on new music for her next album.
