Kristine Froseth Teases 'Oh Canada' and It’s Unlike Anything You’ve Seen
Kristine Froseth is hyping up ‘Oh Canada’, sharing the trailer on Instagram and teasing its must-see December 6 release!
Rising American and Norwegian actress Kristine Froseth can’t wait for us to see her upcoming movie Oh Canada! She took to Instagram to share the film’s trailer along with its release date—December 6.
Oh Canada tells the story of Leonard Fife, a documentary filmmaker on his deathbed who fled the Vietnam War and moved to Canada. Fife agrees to have his final moments documented, but as he recounts the pivotal events of his life, his degrading memory makes him an unreliable narrator.
The use of an unreliable narrator has been seen in films like David Fincher’s Fight Club and Gone Girl, Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island, and Christopher Nolan’s Memento. It’s an unconventional storytelling technique that confuses the audience but adds depth to the narrator and provides insight into their deepest thoughts.
Richard Gere stars as Leonard Fife, with Jacob Elordi portraying his younger self. Originally, Robert De Niro was offered Gere’s role but declined due to insufficient pay. Supporting roles include Uma Thurman as Emma, Penelope Mitchell as Sloan, Kristine Froseth as Alicia, and Victoria Hill and Michael Imperioli as Diana and Malcolm, the filmmakers documenting Fife’s story.
Froseth, best known for her role as Kelly Aldrich in The Society, currently stars in the historical drama The Buccaneers as Nan St. George. Her last film, the action-packed How to Blow Up a Pipeline, was released two years ago. It’s about time we saw her on the big screen again! Oh Canada premieres on December 6—don’t forget to grab your tickets!
