Joe Keery Wraps Up His Tour with a Surprise HAIM Cover of 'Gasoline' – Listen Now!

Joe Keery, aka Djo, wraps up his Australian tour, covers HAIM’s Gasoline for Like a Version, and teases new music.
The Stranger Things star Joe Keery, who has recently been going by his musical name Djo, wrapped up the Australian leg of his tour and stopped by Triple J radio to play a song for their Like a Version series.
The song he chose to cover was HAIM’s Gasoline from their 2020 album Women in Music Pt. III. In an interview with Triple J, Djo said he loves the album and the band as well. He also loves the fact that HAIM are sisters, as he comes from a big family and his sisters sing on his song Basic.
He described the cover as being similar to his song End of Beginning in the first half, while the second half was closer to the original. Singing the cover allowed him to reinterpret the personal lyrics through his own perspective, which was a brand-new experience for him.
This is Keery’s first time in Australia. Now that this leg of the tour has concluded, he has some time to rest before his Back on You world tour kicks off in April. He’s also set to release his third studio album, The Crux, in April this year.
