"It can change your life!" LaRussell Calls for New Tiny Desk Contest Submissions.
The rising hip-hop star LaRussel becomes the official judge of NPR’s Tiny Desk Competition and is encouraging musicians to submit their entries.
LaRussel and a group of other talented musicians will be judging the new entries for NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert.
In a video teaser shared on Instagram, the artist emphasizes that he’s looking for originality, authenticity, and great music when analyzing the submissions.
As LaRussel states, “It can change your life.” This is a huge opportunity for up-and-coming musicians to shine at the legendary Tiny Desk Concert. In other words, it’s a ticket to worldwide fame.
Below are the key rules for the contest:
- Create a new video that shows you playing one song you’ve written.
- Do it the way you’d perform a Tiny Desk concert: at a desk. (Any desk!)
- Upload your video to YouTube.
- Fill out our entry form before 11:59 p.m. ET on Feb. 10, 2025.
The winner will get the chance to perform a Tiny Desk Concert at NPR in Washington, D.C. Additionally, the lucky musician will join the Tiny Desk Concert Tour and be featured on NPR’s All Things Considered.
Notably, the winner will also be paired with a professional mentor from the music industry to provide guidance and support.
