Harris Dickinson and Nicole Kidman Set Screens on Fire in 'Babygirl'
Harris Dickinson and Nicole Kidman heat up screens in ‘Babygirl’, an erotic thriller that’s dividing critics and audiences alike.
Emerging English actor Harris Dickinson is teaming up with the one and only Nicole Kidman in the erotic thriller Babygirl, and according to the trailer, things are about to get steamy.
Babygirl comes from the pen of Halina Reijn, who also directs and co-produces the film. It follows high-ranking CEO Romy, played by Kidman, as she falls in love and begins an affair with a younger intern, Samuel, portrayed by Dickinson.
The film made its debut at the Venice Film Festival in August, where it earned Kidman the Volpi Cup for Best Actress and secured a Golden Lion nomination for Reijn. It also earned them a six-minute standing ovation! It later screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, marking its U.S. premiere.
Upon release, the film divided both audiences and critics. Many praised Dickinson and Kidman’s performances, while some were critical of the film’s presentation in general. It’s clear that Babygirl is not a film for everyone.
In addition to Dickinson and Kidman, the cast includes Antonio Banderas as Jacob, Sophie Wilde as Esme, and Gaite Jansen as Hedda Scarlett, among others.
Beyond Babygirl, Harris Dickinson recently appeared in another film, the historical drama Blitz. This movie features Elliot Heffernan in his film debut alongside Saoirse Ronan in a lead role, with Benjamin Clementine, Kathy Burke, Paul Weller, and Stephen Graham in supporting roles.
Last year, Dickinson starred in the mystery miniseries A Murder at the End of the World as Bill, a role that earned him a BAFTA TV Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Way to go, Harris!
