'Gladiator II' First Images Reveal Paul Mescal and Pedro Pascal in Action
Gladiator II roars to life with stunning visuals and a star-studded cast, promising an epic return to ancient Rome.
Have you heard about the upcoming Gladiator sequel? Vanity Fair recently released some images from Gladiator II, set to release on November 22. Ridley Scott is directing again, with Paul Mescal starring as Lucius, the son of Lucilla from the first film.
The cast also includes Pedro Pascal as Marcus Acacius and Denzel Washington as Macrinus. The story follows Lucius, who returns home after 15 years away, only to be captured and enslaved by Acacius.
It looks like the film will feature both arena battles and political intrigue, with Lucius facing off against Emperor Caracalla (Fred Hechinger) and Emperor Geta (Joseph Quinn). With this cast and storyline, Gladiator II seems like it could be an interesting follow-up to the original.
