Film 'Anora' Tops 2024 Critics' Poll. See Other Honorable Mentions.

Sean Baker’s Anora, starring Mark Eidelstein and Mikey Madison, claimed the top spot, cited by 89 respondents, with 18 placing it as their number one pick.

Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist secured second place, appearing on 73 ballots, including 18 first-place votes.

Other films rounding out the top 10 included The Nickel Boys, All We See Is Light, The Contenders, I Saw a TV Glow, Substance, Dune: Part Two, Don’t Expect Too Much of the End of the World, and The Harsh Truth.

Corbet also took the honor of Best Director, with RaMell Ross, Sean Baker, Payal Kapadia, Luca Guadagnino, Jane Schoenbrun, Coralie Farja, Jacques Audiard, Bertrand Bonello, and Edward Berger following closely behind.
