The special installation was held inside the newly renovated gallery space in northern Milan - Fondazione Sozzani.

For the presentation of his latest collection, Federico CinaFederico Cina decided to create a visual representation of his childhood, paying homage to his early years spent with his grandparents.

Cina even named the collection Assunta and Giacomo, after his grandparents, whom he lost last year. The spectators could walk through different installations that were meant to tell the stories of clothes, gestures and everyday rituals.

These habits were shown by models for example peeling white-painted oranges, walking around an office chair, or dipping hands in a bucket full of water.

Each enactment / memory was labeled by the designer, like “We used to peel oranges together”, “Assunta’s Coffee”, or “With hands full of oil.”

“It’s a fashion remembrance, recalling how they dressed for work, special occasion or family events,” Cina told Fashion Network after the show.
