Emma Myers returns as Pip in ‘A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder’ season 2, based on ‘Good Girl, Bad Blood.’ Filming starts next year!

It seems like the Wednesday actress Emma Myers will be back as the young detective Pip in A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, as BBC has decided to renew the series for a second season!

The first season debuted in July this year and was generally well-received. Based on Holly Jackson’s novel of the same name, the second season will adapt the follow-up novel, Good Girl, Bad Blood.

The official synopsis for season 2 is as follows:

“After solving the Andie Bell case, Pip’s world has been transformed by her actions—and not always for the better. Pip is determined to fix the fallout and stay away from any more investigations. But as Max Hastings’ trial approaches, key witness Jamie Reynolds suddenly disappears, and Pip finds herself in a race against time to find him. This new mystery will take Pip to unexpected places as she struggles with the idea of justice, straying even further from the ‘good girl’ she once was.”

The six-part first season was initially intended as a miniseries, and any plans for future seasons would be based on Jackson’s subsequent novels, Good Girl, Bad Blood and As Good As Dead.

Filming for season 2 is set to begin next year, so we’ll likely see the new season sometime in 2026—or, if we’re lucky, as early as late 2025.

Meanwhile, Emma Myers is also working on the second season of Wednesday and has kept herself busy with A Minecraft Movie, which just released its first official trailer and it’s gathering views by millions. Check it out below!
