Dylan O'Brien's 'Ponyboi' with River Gallo Debuts Trailer After Sundance Premiere

Dylan O’Brien stars in ‘Ponyboi’, a gripping new thriller about identity, survival, and escape, now with a trailer out.

Dylan O’Brien’s 2024 thriller Ponyboi, in which he stars alongside River GalloRiver Gallo and Victoria Pedretti, finally has a trailer out following its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival last year.

Ponyboi follows Ponyboi (played by River Gallo), an intersex sex worker trapped in a bleak routine in New Jersey, working at a laundromat and secretly involved with his pimp, Vinny (Dylan O’Brien), who is also the father of his best friend Angel’s (Victoria Pedretti) unborn child. When a drug deal goes wrong on Valentine’s Day, Ponyboi is forced to flee, facing dangerous enemies and long-buried trauma.

The film also features Murray Bartlett as Bruce, Indya Moore as Charlie, and Keith William Richards as Two-Tone, among others. The story is based on the 2019 short film of the same name by Gallo.
