Doechii just hit a new Billboard peak, and 2025 is looking even bigger with a debut album, festival gigs, and rumored Kendrick Lamar and Lady Gaga collaborations.
Doechii is having a moment, and the numbers prove it. Her latest album, Alligator Bites Never Heal, just cracked the top 20 on the Billboard 200, landing at No. 14 after selling 31,000 units post-Grammys. Meanwhile, her lead single, Denial Is a River (which got a music video last month featuring cameos from
Zack Fox,
Earl Sweatshirt, and more), hit No. 27 on the Hot 100, marking her biggest charting song yet.
Her Grammy night was just as eventful. She made history as only the third woman to win Best Rap Album, joining Lauryn Hill and
Cardi B. Her high-energy performance of Catfish and Denial Is a River turned heads, and she capitalized on the moment by dropping Nosebleeds, a track with a cheeky nod to
Kanye West’s 2005 Grammy speech.
Looking ahead, Doechii has a packed 2025. She’s set to drop her debut studio album and will headline major festivals like Roskilde in Denmark on July 6 and Stanford’s Frost Fest on April 12. Rumors are also swirling about her joining Kendrick Lamar and
SZA’s upcoming Grand National Tour. And to top it off, a recent photo of her with
Lady Gaga has fans speculating about a possible collaboration.
