Rick Riordan reveals Dior Goodjohn’s Clarisse La Rue will have a bigger role in ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ season 2!
If you loved Dior Goodjohn as Clarisse La Rue in the first season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, we have some great news for you. During a recent Goodreads Q&A, series creator Rick Riordan revealed that Clarisse will have a much bigger role in the upcoming season 2.
During the Q&A, Riordan was asked by a fan what he is most looking forward to in the upcoming season. He answered that he’s looking forward to “everything” and that he has seen early cuts of the first two episodes, which he loved every second of.
He also pointed out that one thing he really appreciates is that Clarisse La Rue becomes “more of a major character, just as she is in the Sea of Monsters book.” He then went on to praise Dior Goodjohn, saying she brought her “A game” this season.
Dior Goodjohn got her start as a child model before transitioning into acting with roles in Glee, The Unicorn, and Are You Afraid of the Dark?. However, her role as Clarisse in Percy Jackson and the Olympians propelled her to new heights.
The second season is currently filming and is expected to wrap by the end of this month. No specific release date has been confirmed yet, but it’s been confirmed that we will be getting the second season this year.
