David Corenswet's 'Superman' Trailer Introduces a Hero Facing Impossible Odds
David Corenswet debuts as Superman, revealing a vulnerable hero, epic challenges, and fresh threats in the first teaser.
David Corenswet is finally appearing in a superhero costume! The first official teaser trailer for his upcoming Superman movie is out.
The trailer shows Superman lying in a snowy landscape, gasping for breath, and—most surprisingly—he’s bleeding, hinting that this version of Superman will be vulnerable. We also see him as Clark Kent in his “normal” attire, working at the Daily Planet. There are glimpses of Smallville, Superman’s childhood hometown.
In another series of clips, we catch a glimpse of Krypto, Superman’s loyal super-dog, as well as Lex Luthor and his massive company, LuthorCorp. What follows is Superman saving lives amid massive destruction around the city, along with encounters with a few villains who will no doubt cause havoc. The trailer ends with Superman soaring into the sky before cutting to him kissing Lois Lane.
This Superman movie will follow Clark Kent’s journey to reconcile his alien heritage with his human upbringing. Nothing else is known about the plot, except what can be inferred from the trailer. We’ll just have to wait and see.
David Corenswet had two other movies released this year. First, he starred in the romantic fantasy film The Greatest Hits with Lucy Boynton and Justin H. Min, and then he appeared in the blockbuster Twisters with Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell.
Superman is set to release on July 11, 2025, and it will be the first part of the DCU’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters. It looks like we have something exciting to look forward to!
