Daisy Edgar-Jones and Jacob Elordi Bring 'On Swift Horses' to SXSW as the Closing Night Film

Daisy Edgar-Jones and Jacob Elordi’s new drama On Swift Horses is coming to another film festival! This time, the movie has been picked as the Closing Night Film for this year’s South by Southwest Film Festival.

On Swift Horses follows a young couple, Muriel and Lee, in the wake of the Korean War as they attempt to build a new life in California. Their plans start to crumble when Lee’s charming brother, Julius, begins a secret romance with a male co-worker in Las Vegas, while Muriel pursues a love affair with a female neighbor.

In the film, Daisy Edgar-Jones plays Muriel, and Jacob Elordi plays Julius. They are joined by Will Poulter as Lee, Diego Calva as Henry, Sasha Calle as Sandra, and Don Swayze as Terence.

The film had its world premiere at the 2024 Toronto Film Festival in September 2024, and after that, it was shown at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in January. The theatrical release date is set for April 25, 2025.

Last year, Daisy Edgar-Jones appeared in the big-budget film Twisters, which cost $155 million and grossed $371 million worldwide, shattering box office expectations. In October, she also joined the cast of Netflix’s new adaptation of Pride and Prejudice as Elizabeth Bennet.

The 2025 South by Southwest Festival starts on March 7 and ends on March 15, 2025, so if you want to watch On Swift Horses on the big screen before most of us can, make sure you mark your calendar for March 15!
