His collections are characterized by meticulous craftsmanship, conceptual shaping, and the integration of advanced technology, all under the guiding principle that “God is in the details.”

Graduating from Waseda University and the Vantan Design Institute, Kunihiko MorinagaKunihiko Morinaga launched ANREALAGE in 2003, positioning it at the intersection of reality and unreality.

The name itself is a fusion of “REAL,” “UNREAL,” and “AGE,” reflecting the designer’s commitment to creating garments that blend everyday wearability with avant-garde concepts.

Morinaga’s work has attracted attention not only for its aesthetic appeal but also for its thematic depth, exploring concepts such as “Bone,” “Shape,” and “Color.”

Each collection serves as a platform for Morinaga to engage with contemporary issues, exemplified by his collaboration with Trident to create garments designed to repel phone signals, addressing the pervasive influence of technology on daily life.

The designer’s accolades include prestigious awards such as the 29th Mainichi Fashion Grand Prix New Face Prize in 2011 and being a finalist for the LVMH Prize in 2019.

Morinaga’s work has also been featured in major exhibitions worldwide, from Tokyo to Paris, showcasing the evolution of Japanese fashion and its reinvention through his unique lens.

Morinaga will showcase his latest collection at the Paris Fashion Week on March 4th.
