Combster's LFW Designer Spotlight: Conner Ives
Having graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2020 and after moving to London in 2014, he established his design studio, where he draws inspiration from childhood memories and the women who shaped his early experiences.
Conner Ives is an American fashion designer raised in Bedford, New York. His work aims to tell their stories while redefining American identity through a contemporary lens, seeking to expand the concept of Americana beyond its traditional boundaries.
Ives is particularly noted for his commitment to sustainability, often utilizing deadstock and vintage garments as raw materials for his collections.
During his time at Central Saint Martins, Ives made headlines when he dressed model 
Adwoa Aboah for the 2021 Met Gala, catching the attention of icons like 
Rihanna, who subsequently enlisted him to assist in creating her first Fenty collection.
His talent was further recognized when his work was included in the prestigious exhibition In America: A Lexicon of Fashion at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where his designs were celebrated for their innovative approach to sustainability.
