Chloe Bennet’s Scrapped 'Powerpuff Girls' Series Is Trending Again After a Trailer Leak

An unaired ‘Powerpuff Girls’ live-action trailer starring Chloe Bennet just leaked online, sparking backlash and debate.
It’s been almost five years since the Powerpuff Girls live-action series, starring Chloe Bennet,
Dove Cameron, and Yana Perrault, was announced—and nearly two years since it was officially canceled. Now, an unaired trailer for the series has leaked online.
Reactions to the leaked trailer have been overwhelmingly negative, with many celebrating the show’s cancellation, while others question who the series was really made for.
The pilot was ordered in 2021, but it didn’t take long for the script to leak online, sparking massive backlash that led to a major rewrite. Later that year, Chloe Bennet exited the project due to scheduling conflicts, while the series underwent redevelopment before ultimately being canceled in 2023.
Most recently, Bennet starred in the miniseries Interior Chinatown and had a voice role in an episode of Invincible. She also has an upcoming comedy-drama film, Hello Out There, starring alongside Phil Dunster and
Jennifer Beals.
