A$AP Rocky Drops Out Of iHeartRadio Music Festival, Wanted To Perform New Tracks
A$AP Rocky cancels iHeartRadio fest due to illness, delaying ‘Don’t Be Dumb’ album to fall; fans miss new tracks.
Sad news for A$AP Rocky fans attending the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Festival. The rapper took to Instagram stories to announce that due to an unexpected illness, he won’t be able to make it.
In the post, Rocky shared that he wanted to perform new music, meaning this hits extra heavy for his diehard fans who were expecting to hear new tracks off his upcoming album Don’t Be Dumb. This June, Rocky previewed a song from the album during Paris Fashion Week, where he also showed off his new brand American Sabotage to the world for the first time.
During the event, Rocky announced that Don’t Be Dumb will be dropping on August 30, but before its release, the album was delayed until this fall, without a specific date mentioned. Rocky explained the delay in his X post, saying the leaks and sample clearances are hindering the process.
With Don’t Be Dumb, Rocky promises the “BEST ALBUM EVER,” and with a six-year gap between his last album and now, the expectations are through the roof. Let’s see if he delivers.
