Maria Bakalova (1996) shared her excitement on Instagram about the world premiere of “The Apprentice” (2024) at the Cannes Film Festival. The biographical drama, directed by Ali Abbasi (1981) and written by Gabriel Sherman, stars Sebastian Stan (1982) as Donald Trump (1946) and Bakalova as Ivana Trump (1949 - 2022).
The film explores Trump’s career as a real estate mogul in New York during the 1970s and 80s. The ensemble cast also includes Jeremy Strong (1978) and Martin Donovan (1957). Fans can get a first look at Bakalova and Stan’s transformation into the Trumps in an exclusive image shared by Vanity Fair. The film is set to premiere on May 20, 2024.
