Singer Aiko is Preparing to Shine as the Representative of the Czech Republic at This Year's Eurovision
Please meet singer Aiko, who has been selected to represent the Czech Republic in Malmö at the Eurovision 2024 contest.
From May 7th to May 11th, the 68th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Malmö, Sweden. The competition, which began in 1956, will feature Czech Republic’s representative, the singer Aiko.
Aiko, whose real name is Alena Shirmanova-Kostebelova, was born in 1999 in Moscow and grew up in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic. After participating in the singing reality show SuperStar in 2015 (where she reached the semifinals), she released her debut album “Aiko” three years later, followed by “Expiration Date” in 2020. Aiko became the first Czech artist to appear on screens at Times Square.
On October 13, 2023, she released her third album “Fortune’s Child,” and on December 13, she became the representative of the Czech Republic in the Eurovision Song Contest due to her victory in the national competition, where she will compete with the song “Pedestal.”
