Elle Fanning is charging into the Predator universe as the lead of “Badlands,” the new film from director Dan Trachtenberg. He’s the guy who brought us the critically acclaimed “Prey” (which was recently announced to have a sequel in the works), “10 Cloverfield Lane” and now “Badlands.”
Fanning, known for her stellar performances in “The Great” and “Super 8,” is ready to trade period dramas for pulse-pounding action.
Just like “Prey” shook things up, “Badlands” will drop us in a whole new era, continuing the Predator franchise’s tradition of hunting across history.
Trachtenberg co-wrote the script with Patrick Aison, and filming is set to begin later this year. Whether you catch it on the big screen or streaming at home is still up in the air. Stay tuned for more updates!
