Details About the Sensational Singing Performance by Ryan Gosling at the Oscars
Ryan Gosling dedicated a lot of energy to his performance, which captivated the audience at the Oscars.
Ryan Gosling’s performance at the Oscars, during which he sang the song “I’m Just Ken” from the “Barbie” (2023) movie, garnered a great response. According to Variety, producer Molly McNearney stated that Gosling was “truly enthusiastic” about the preparation of the performance and came up with the idea himself to pay homage to Marilyn Monroe’s song “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend” from the film “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” (1953).
The clothing of the dancers and the red stairs in the background were also inspired by this film. The performance, in which Margot Robbie, Greta Gerwig, America Ferrera joined with their singing, and Slash from the band Guns N’ Roses played the guitar, was a huge success. Ken characters from the film, such as Simu Liu and Scott Evans, also appeared on stage. Greta Lee labeled the performance as “one of the best moments of the evening,” and America Ferrera recommended to Gosling to take the act on tour.
